Now we know that the tessikans will have a problem going to earth or the continum.
Oh, those silly Pakled- err, Tesskans!
Now I'm having a hard time seeing where this is going. Do the Tesskans sit there until the humans show up and claim the most powerful ship in existence as a winning edge in the war, or do the Makers retake it, but now with the entire Empire in their targets, not just Humanity? Either way the mortuary business is going to have a bumper year.
I'm going to make a guess, almost certain to be wrong:
The leader of the Fillipods aboard the Machito is in the right place at the right time. The surviving Fillipods need somewhere to go, the Spirit looks big enough, there should be enough transport in the Tesskan ships.... Or maybe surviving on their ruined planet. What to do about the random number generating ig'nant Tesskans....?
To what end -- no clue. Methinks Dave thinks in large chunks. He's certainly loaded enough rounds into Chekhov's Gun ;^)'
Is this going to be a Thursday or a Friday strip?
Why, Abracadabra! This is out of character of you to grumble! (1 [drivecomic.com], 2 [drivecomic.com], 3 [drivecomic.com], 4 [drivecomic.com], 5 [drivecomic.com], 6 [drivecomic.com], 7 [drivecomic.com]).
But to answer your question, the attempt with DRIVE is to not rush it. Unlike Sheldon, which sticks to a five-day-a-week schedule, DRIVE is a gift I'm giving myself.
So, while I shoot to have it done every Thursday...there are many times where it's delayed, as I'd rather have the 7-year arc be right than be rushed.
Now that you've come on out and said so, I don't mind, Dave. It was just that one time I was a bit confused and asked something like; "so, now, it will be Sheldon Mon-Fri and Drive Thurs, and nothing on weekends, right?"
And you said; "Right".
I don't mind waiting, I just took you as meaning exactly what you said. Good to know now that Drive will get here when it gets here. So I'll check late on Thursdays, and if it's not there, I'll wait until Monday and check then. If not there Monday, I'll wait until next Thursday.
I just needed a straight answer, and thank you for replying with one.
Oh crap. 7-year arc? Not that I'm not enjoying it, because I am, but that's a LOOONG time. Of course, that means I'll have something to look forward to every Thursday(ish) for a while.
Just don't tell my mother. I got her hooked on Drive and she does NOT like cliffhangers.
Five more years sounds like plenty to look forward to yet. We still have to find our little pilot's people, sort out the Tessikans on the Continum ship, see what the fillapods can do, let Nando get some help? and see what his onboard cousin has in mind, not to mention decide the outcome of the war.
I don't think it's just Chekhov's Gun anymore, it's Chekhov's PUNT Gun now with all these threads.
I think the Tesskan's on the 'Spark' might not be an issue, a complex ship like that probably requires regular systems checks and maintenance, how long before the engines go 'BOOM' all by themselves?
