PANEL 1: Narration box: THE MACHITO Description: A panel of stars whirring past the viewer, a small ship with a large ring on its back flies towards the light. NANDO (from inside the ship): Saseet dead ahead, Ma’am. Two minutes. PANEL 2: THE CAPTAIN, a short older woman with curly hair and glasses speaks to NANDO, a young man with a ball cap, and CUDDOW, an alien with 14 legs, an antenna and 6 eyes. CAPTAIN: Roger that. ‘Nando, bust the winter jackets out of cold storage. CUDDOW, quickly but thrilled: HA! Language is a playground. PANEL 3: SKITTER, a small squirrel-like alien with a mohawk sits in a flying chair. He speaks to THE CAPTAIN. SKITTER: Grasskan comms are directing me to a spot in orbit. CAPTAIN: Very well. Take us in. PANEL 4: NOSH, a large humanoid with large bug-eyes and a bumpy head and arms speaks to CUDDOW and ORLA, a young woman in a darker uniform with curly hair. CUDDOW: Indeed! The Grasskans were once a HUGE empire, 3,000 years old! ORLA: Who went toe-to-toe with the continuum! PANEL 5: NOSH responds, while CAPH, a young but giant Grasskan with his arm in a sling leans in. NOSH: Exactly, yes! They were powerhouse! And now are…destitute. CAPH: My people are DESTITUTE? PANEL 6: Close up on THE CAPTAIN. CAPTAIN: The reports before we left said they’re doing “ok” on Saseet. But that planet has NO industrial base. PANEL 7: THE CAPTAIN continues speaking while SKITTER flies the ship from his chair. CAPTAIN: So even a people as incredible as yours will have trouble rebuilding. THEY’RE STARTING COMPETELY FROM — SKITTER (interupting): Un-pinching space. PANEL 8: A huge panel showing the MACHITO entering Grasskan space. The planet of Saseet sits low in the panel. A space station with a SCYTHE ship docked floats in the middle of fleets of SCYTHES. The Grasskans have clearly been busy. CAPTAIN (continuing her sentence): …SCRATCH —— Want to read the full story? A large ship hovers in front of the planet, at a dramatic angle towards the viewer. NARRATION BOX: La Invencible Disembodied voice bubbles pointing to inside the ship: VOICE 1: Oh! My Emperor! I…I didn’t expect you onboard, today. Welcome, welcome! VOICE 2 (The Emperor): Admiral. PANEL 2: Inside the ship, the ADMIRAL welcomes the EMPEROR onboard. ADMIRAL: Normally your guards call ahead to alert us of your arrival. I’ll have your stateroom prepared immediately! EMPOROR: No need to fuss. This won’t be a pleasure cruise. PANEL 3: The ADMIRAL bows towards the EMPEROR, a much shorter man. ADMIRAL: Oh. Of course, Excellency. But… HOW can we be of service to you today? EMPEROR: We’ll be TRAVELLING, Admiral. It’s a troop inspection, of sorts. PANEL 4: An exterior shot of the ship at a less dramatic angle, still floating above the planet. ADMIRAL (off panel): And what of your personal honor hard? Or Jinyiwei? Will they not be joining us on the trip? EMPEROR (off panel): Admiral, I’m on the most powerful ship the armada ever built. PANEL 5: In silhouette, the EMPEROR climbs stairs to a throne-like chair. EMPEROR: And I’m surrounded by four score GENTLEMEN OF TESSKIL. Say Hello, gentlemen. PANEL 6: The EMPEROR sits on the throne, surrounded by 5 TESSKANS, large rhino-like creatures with sharp blade-like horns on their head, and tusks protruding from their mouths. EMPEROR: I THINK THAT I’M QUITE SAFE. Front, right TESSKAN, looking over his shoulder: hullo person. —— Want to read the full story? Act 5. Pg 036

DRIVE PALS! Tomorrow is the last day on Kickstarter for my new book ANATOMY OF DOGS -- and it would mean the world to me if you joined us.

All the humor and heart you've loved in DRIVE is in this book....just directed at all the dog breeds, instead of Fillipods. :)

So if you have a dog lover in your life, treat them to the perfect gift for Christmas! ANATOMY OF DOGS will be a gosh darn delight!
